Chronology of the Crisis Era
TIMELINE · Year 0 of the Crisis Era – Year 4 of the Crisis Era · Reviewed by the Secretariat
Since the announcement of the Trisolaran crisis, humanity has abandoned the old calendar in favor of the Crisis Era. The table below presents the authoritative chronology reviewed by the Secretariat.
| Era | Event |
|---|---|
| Year 0 | The scientific community confirmed the systematic anomalies in the results of fundamental physics experiments; later that year, intercepted communication archives confirmed that the Trisolaran Fleet was navigating toward the Solar System, establishing the reality of the crisis. |
| Year 1 | The Trisolaran crisis was officially announced globally, and the Crisis Era commenced; it was confirmed that Sophons had arrived in the Solar System, and humanity's fundamental physics research began to suffer systematic interference; the United Nations General Assembly adopted Resolution 1 at a special session, establishing the Planetary Defense Council. |
| Year 2 | The Council formulated the Wallfacer Project, which was unanimously approved by the permanent members; the Crisis Addendum to the Space Law Convention entered into force, bringing resource development beyond the Kuiper Belt under the United Nations framework. |
| Year 3 | The Wallfacer Project began execution, and the list of four Wallfacers was announced; countries successively established Space Forces; observations confirmed the Fleet was approximately 4.16 light-years from the Solar System. |
| Year 4 | At its 12th meeting, the Council adopted Proposal 479, launching the Stars Plan; the Staircase Program of the Strategic Intelligence Bureau entered the launch preparation phase; the Chinese website for the Stars Plan was launched. |
Explanation of Era Designation
- The Crisis Era begins on the date the crisis was officially announced, with Year 1 being the year of that announcement.
- The conversion table between the Crisis Era and the Gregorian calendar is detailed in the Secretariat's calendar explanation, available in the Document Centre (Document No. PDC/SEC/CAL-01).
- Year 0 refers to the final year before the crisis announcement and is not counted as part of the Crisis Era in official documents.
