Sophon Activity WarningPDC/SAC/WARN-04 · Issued on 22 March, Year 4 of the Crisis Era Anomalies in global hadron collider experiments persist, and the collision window for this season has been postponed again. The public is urged to verify information regarding alleged "breakthroughs in fundamental physics" through this website and the national scientific institutions of member States, and to be wary of pseudoscientific projects seeking to profit from the situation. Sophon: Public Statement

SOPHON · Confirmed Facts · Interference Mechanisms · Public Response

Sophon is the general term for the intelligent microscopic particles deployed by humanity against the Trisolaran civilization. This page summarizes currently confirmed facts and public response recommendations based on those facts. Please note: Humanity has never directly observed a Sophon; all conclusions on this page are derived from its observable effects.

Confirmed Facts

  • Existence: Sophons were manufactured and deployed by the Trisolaran civilization, arriving in the Solar System before Year 1 of the Crisis Era (supported by intercepted communication archives).
  • Interference Capability: Sophons can enter high-energy particle collider experiments and alter results, rendering global collider experimental data irreproducible. This is the only strictly verified method of interference currently.
  • Listening Capability: Based on intercepted communication archives, it is inferred that Sophons possess the ability to monitor human electromagnetic communications and read visual information from specific targets. Any public communication should be considered accessible to the Trisolaran side.
  • Non-interceptable: At current technological levels, Sophons cannot be intercepted, trapped, or destroyed.

Equally Important Fact: Humanity Cannot Monitor Sophons

A clarification for the public is particularly necessary: "Sophon monitoring" technology does not exist. The "Sophon Activity Alert" issued by the Council is an indirect inference by the Scientific and Technological Advisory Committee regarding Sophon interference mechanisms, based on synchronized anomalies in collider experiment results that cannot be attributed to equipment or environmental factors. Changes in alert levels only indicate changes in the frequency and distribution of interference, and do not imply that humanity has mastered the position or movements of Sophons.

Impact on the Public and Recommendations

  • Sophon interference is limited to high-energy physics experiments and does not affect the normal use of mobile phones, computers, home appliances, transportation, and medical equipment.
  • The possibility of personal communications being monitored cannot be ruled out; however, the purpose of such monitoring is to track human strategic developments. Ordinary citizens need not and cannot evade this, and should not readily believe in any products or services claiming to offer "anti-Sophon monitoring" capabilities.
  • Maintain vigilance against commercial and fundraising projects claiming to have "broken through the Sophon blockade" or made "new discoveries in fundamental physics"; verification requests can be submitted via the Fact Check column.
