This website strives to ensure that all visitors—including those using assistive technologies—have equal access to Crisis Intelligence. Equal access to information is the foundation of public trust.

Accessibility features implemented

  • The entire site employs semantic HTML structure with continuous heading levels, allowing screen readers to navigate by headings;
  • Core functions such as navigation, search, countdown, and announcements support keyboard operation;
  • Contrast ratios between body text and background meet prevailing accessibility standards; critical information, such as warning bars, is conveyed through both text and icons;
  • Graphic buttons are accompanied by text labels; form fields have associated labels and mandatory field indicators.
  • The page is responsive and fully functional on both mobile and desktop devices.

Known limitations

  • Subtitles for hearing playback videos are being added in batches.
  • Some historical archive files are in scanned image format, with limited screen reader support; a text alternative can be requested.
