The Observation Network released Fleet Position Bulletin No. 7: The formation maintains its cruise, with no signs of maneuvering observed
The Planetary Defense Council Observation Network Management Office issued the Seventh Public Bulletin on the Trisolaran Fleet Position today. The bulletin indicates that as of the mid-March observation window in Year 4 of the Crisis Era, the main body of the Trisolaran Fleet is approximately 4.14 light-years from the Solar System, with a measurement error of ±0.02 light-years; the brightness and spectral characteristics of the formation's propulsion glow show no significant changes compared to the previous observation window, and no signs of acceleration, deceleration, or formation maneuvers were observed.
Key points of the bulletin are as follows:
- Distance estimate: Approximately 4.14 light-years (based on long-term monitoring of propulsion glow parallax and brightness, error ±0.02 light-years).
- Cruising speed: Maintains the previously estimated value of approximately 1% of the speed of light, consistent with propulsion capabilities recorded in intercepted communication archives.
- Arrival window: Comprehensive estimate places it between Year 400 and Year 430 of the Crisis Era; this bulletin does not revise that window.
- Formation size: Maintains the intercepted communication estimate of "over one thousand vessels"; this bulletin does not update this figure.
The head of the Management Office emphasized in the release statement that the fleet's navigation operates on a time scale of "years," and the public should not misinterpret the data stability in a single bulletin: "Unchanged data is a normal manifestation of the cruising state. Changes that truly require vigilance will be simultaneously communicated to all member State governments."
The next public bulletin is expected to be released on 10 April, Year 4 of the Crisis Era. All historical bulletins can be retrieved by document number (PDC/OBS/BF) in the Document Centre.
