Isabel Mendoza, spokesperson of the Public Information Office of the Wallfacer Project Committee, held a routine press conference at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Below are selected excerpts from the transcript of questions and answers.

Q: Recently, a so-called trend of "imitating Wallfacers" has emerged in society. What attitude should the public adopt towards such behavior?

Mendoza: The choice of personal lifestyle falls within the scope of civil liberties, and this Committee does not comment on it. It needs to be reiterated that the public movements, itineraries, and resource utilization results of Wallfacers have been registered on record, and the public is welcome to verify them through the "Oversight and Transparency" section of this website. Society should focus on the compliance of Wallfacers in the execution of the plan, rather than engaging in irrational imitation or over-interpretation of individual behavior.

Q: Some members of the public question the efficiency of the use of Wallfacer Project funds, alleging waste. How does the Committee respond?

Mendoza: The flow of all funds for the Wallfacer Project is under audit supervision, and relevant accounts have been made public in accordance with the law. Specific disputes regarding the use of funds should be raised through formal hearing channels for review by the Hearings and Oversight Division in accordance with procedures. Any public criticism detached from data and procedures is unhelpful to the resolution of the problem.

Q: Some media outlets point out that Wallfacer Luo Ji has not taken any substantial public actions since his announcement. Does this mean the execution of the plan is hindered?

Mendoza: In accordance with the Wallfacer Act, this Committee has no comment, as we do not know either. The notification on the adjustment of the security level for Wallfacer Luo Ji was issued on 10 February, Year 4 of the Crisis Era (Document No. PDC/WF/PRESS/4-006), and his related arrangements are part of the normal execution of the plan. The public can consult his public resume through the "Wallfacer" section.

Q: Has the Committee scheduled the next hearing? How can the public obtain relevant information?

Mendoza: The Council has scheduled the 13th hearing for 24 April, Year 4 of the Crisis Era. The hearing record and verbatim transcript will be made fully public in accordance with procedures; the public may follow the "Oversight and Transparency — Hearings" section for detailed information.

Q: In the face of various "truths" about the Wallfacer Project circulating on the internet, how should the public distinguish them?

Mendoza: The public is urged not to spread "truths" without document numbers. All information regarding the Wallfacer Project is subject to official releases by the Committee. Any news not confirmed by official sources holds no reference value.

The full transcript of the press conference will be compiled and archived by the Public Information Division.
